Hartlepool   Advanced Motorists   was formed in 1981 and is a registered charity (No.1057286)   affiliated to the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM). The aim of the group is to help its' members to pass the Advanced Driving Test. This is achieved via a combination of theory courses and in-car coaching, usually over a 10-week period.

How can the Group help me?
Hartlepool   Advanced Motorists affords its members varied opportunities for improving their driving technique. In preparing for their IAM Test, typically, our members enjoy 1 to 1 coaching in their own cars with a Group Observer. Upon successful completion of their test, members might like to undergo further training to become a Group Observer.

As an Associate member you may attend our monthly social meetings, take part in our Driving Theory classes and, enjoy 1 to 1 practical in-car tuition for FREE.

I'm interested - How do I find out more?
You might like to meet us at our monthly social meetings at the   Hartlepool Cricket Club, Park Drive on the second Wednesday of every month at 7.30 pm. If you would like to talk to someone about any aspect of the group, please   use our contacts page, or the email link at the the top of the page, and someone will be happy to answer any questions you have.

How do I join the Group?
Please get in touch with our   Group Secretary   who will be able to give you full details or you may join online with the Institute of Advanced Motoring.
