For the forthcoming year Hartlepool Advanced Motorists are undertaking a sponsorship scheme to encourage young drivers to become Advanced Drivers and pass the Advanced Driving Test
The first 20 under 26 year old drivers will be offered a sponsorship program as follows:
The young driver (Associate member of the Group) will have to pay the discounted exam fee of £139 to initiate proceedings.
Once this is paid and the forms are processed by the Institute of Advanced Motorists, the Associate member is assigned a Group Observer to assist them and help them through to become what we call "test ready", in other words at a standard to be able to pass the Advanced Driving Test.
This process usually take about 14 weeks. The National pass rate for the Advanced Driving Test if 70% on the first attempt. Hartlepool proudly maintains a 95% pass rate at the first attempt due to our 2 tiered training system.
On sucesful completion of the Advanced Driving Test, we will present the pledge of £139 to the associate as they have made sufficient effort to warrant the money.
We hope then, that these 20 young drivers will then enjoy their experiences and pass this onto their friends who may then be interested in becoming Advanced
Drivers, and so on, creating a snowball effect.
